Online Abstract Submission

Rules of Abstract Submission :

  • Abstracts are submitted online as “ORAL” or “E-POSTER”. Abstracts sent by postal service, fax, e-mail etc. will not be taken into consideration.
  • Online Abstract submission system allows you to keep your abstract in the system until you decide to send it and work on it again. Abstracts that are in draft status after the deadline cannot be processed and will not be considered for selection.
  • A participant can send 2 abstracts at most.
  • While submitting the abstracts, the presentation preference (oral or e-poster presentation) must be stated. The Scientific Programme Committee reserves the right to allocate abstracts to either oral presentations or e-poster.
  • At least one of the authors of the abstracts should be registered to the congress in order that the abstracts included in the electronic congress book/CD. If a presenter fails to register: The abstract(s) will not be published in the abstract book and will be rejected for presentation at the Congress.
  • Since the congress registrations are made for a person, it does not include the other names of the submitted abstract.
  • All abstracts must be written and presented in English.
  • Only the first letter of the summary title must be in majuscules. (Abbreviations must not be used in the title).
  • The name, surname, the institution and the city of the author of the abstract must be stated in relevant sections.
  • Academic titles must not be utilized with names.
  • Reserved section for the abstracts in the system is limited to a maximum of 300 words. The system will not allow you to write more than 300 words in the section.
  • The related sub-title of the work must be stated while the submission of the abstract.
  • Standard abbreviations are accepted. At first mention, it should be given in parenthesis then it can be used by itself.
  • Since the summaries sent through online abstract submission module will be converted into digital books, the participants must pay attention to misspellings. The authors will be considered responsible from their misspelling.
  • Accepted E-Poster Presentations will be presented as DIGITAL from the plasmas during the congress.
  • Submission deadline is 20 March 2023, 23:59 (CET – Central European Time).

Oral Abstract Presentation Rules :

  • Presentation will be conducted in Turkish / English.
  • The duration of oral presentations must not exceed 15 minutes. (10 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion).
  • Presentations must be submitted to the organizers before the presentation time.

E-Poster Preparation Rules :

  • It is important that only the most basic sources are shown in the e-poster abstracts and that all the sources shown in the e-poster abstracts are shown in the footnote or in the bibliography section at the end of the e-poster paper.
  • Institutional and contact information of all authors should be included in e-poster abstracts.
  • Authors are required to be present at the beginning of the E-poster abstracts at the specified date, time and place for the discussion of the E-poster abstracts.

E-Poster Technical Specifications :

  • Should be prepared vertically in ppt, pptx, doc, docx format, with an aspect ratio of 3:4.
  • Digital E-Poster prepared with the specified dimensions should have as large and readible letters as possible. Recommended font is arial between 6 - 12 type size.
  • If the information on the E-Poster does not fit on one page, a second page should be prepared with the same dimensions, and the quality of the pasted pictures and tables should be high.
  • Your work files should be sent to faika.yapici@burkon.com until 01st May 2023.

Evaluation of the Abstracts :

The reviewers who have been assigned by section editors/referees will do evaluation online. Decisions on oral presentation will be sent to all authors. At least one of the authors of the abstracts should be registered to the congress in order that the abstracts be in the electronic congress book.

Rules of Full Text Submission

Full texts are submitted online by the abstract submission system from the “Upload Full Text” section. The full-text upload deadline for papers is April 03, 2023.
Content: The authors should upload their oral/ poster presentation abstract with 250-300 words within abstract submission period. Full text format is maximum 1,500 words excluding title, authors and affiliation, and references. Each article begins with the title at the top, the authors below, and their affiliations under it which are stated with supercited numbers just next to each author. Abstract of full text should be included in the document. Full texts should be structured (objective, methods, results, and discussion).

  • Objective: Tested hypothesis or analyzed/searched target of the research should be explained.
  • Methods: The study participants, location, setting, instruments used, data collection, and statistical analysis should be explained.
  • Results: All results and findings of the research should be explained clearly.
  • Discussion: All the conclusions should be discussed with respect to their importance in relevant literature and possible implications should be explained clearly.

Layout

  • The full texts must be submitted in American English.
  • The text shall be in Times New Roman font type and 10 in font size.
  • The full text should be checked by the corresponding author to eliminate typos and spelling mistakes.
  • Tables and figures should have high quality for a good investigating.

Authors

  • The institutions of the authors must be correctly filled during the submission.
  • The presenter name of the abstract should be underlined in submission process.

Keywords

  • 5-6 keywords should be added.

References

  • Up to 10 references should be added. Within the text consecutive numbers can be referred between brackets; [1], [2] ve [3].
